The Caretaker is someone for whom giving care is as natural as breathing, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. And just because you have an archetypal pattern doesn’t mean that you have to like it. You may loathe having the Caretaker. You may have to endure people in your life and their suffering may fall on your shoulders. Although it may seem unfair to you in the here-and-now perspective, the experience could be part of your Contract. Being a Caretaker may only make sense when we all meet on the other side and put our Contracts down on a big astral table to evaluate how we did. Did you ever know someone – or maybe you are that person – who is always taking care of the person with a long-term illness in the family? They make all the visits, deliver the food, and stay overnight at the hospital. The Caretaker is the person who will always go the distance with every single person in a family, whenever they need support and care.
